Rachel is an energetic, investigative journalist and audio engineer. Currently, Rachel is an audio engineer and social media specialist at an internet radio talk network called VoiceAmerica. Before Rachel graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications, she was a Segment Producer Intern for 12 News KPNX, which is a NBC affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. She was also a TV Production Crew Member for Arizona PBS where she mixed the audio for PBS Newshour West, Arizona Horizon, Horizonte and Cronkite News. Rachel is twenty-one years old and has a bachelor of arts degree in journalism.
Rachel is interested in being behind-the-scenes. Ever since she took Stagecraft her senior year of high school, she discovered her passion for sound design. After that, she interned three times at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and also did load ins and load outs for schools around the area. In January 2019, Rachel begun her internship at Central Sound at Arizona PBS and later became a Student Assistant Sound Engineer for a year. Ever since then, Rachel has worked audio in live, film and broadcast settings. Her career goal is to be a podcast producer and live sound engineer. |
